The other day I was helping Nathan make lunch. It is so awesome how God gives boys boyishness even if they live in a family of mostly girls. Anyways, back to making lunch. I forget exactly what we were having but I know carrot sticks were on the menu. That is a job Nathan can do so he got the stuff and started cutting. After a little while I realized just exactly what was going on..
You make the starting cuts and "TIMBER!!" the carrot crashes to the counter.
Then you cut the stump..
..in quarters.
Next you take the logs, cut them into appropriate lengths and then in half..
..and then in thirds. Complete with sound effects.
Oh the world of boys! I just smiled and chuckled inside myself, then grabbed the camera and started snapping photos. Enjoy the kiddos in your life. Enjoy their individuality..it is from the Lord! Train them up in His ways!
