Speaking of helping out one day Ellie - Janie helped Mama make little pigs in a blanket. I was the photographer until Mama needed rescued before things got really really chaotic.
First, after making the dough, you roll it out.
And stretch it and roll some more, making it into a nice even circle.
Second, you cut the dough into triangles. I think mama did twenty-four.
Making faces during this step helps.
Third, you wait for Mama to give you a triangle..
and then you start rolling!
If Mama doesn't do it quick enough to your liking you may help yourself, but this is not advised because it makes the stress level go up if you do not get Mama's "ok" before taking the intended triangle.
Keep rolling girls!
We have lots to do!
Smiles help!
Waiting while step two is carried out once more.
A fresh supply of little smokies..
to roll up in dough..
 for a yummy snack!
 All done!
When you add this cute little munchkin to the mix things get even more interesting than they already are so we kept her at the kitchen table.
Now Mama knows what making cookies is really like. Normally I do this when she is teaching school and when she got done making this snack she looks at me and says, How do you do it? To which I reply, Sometimes I loose my patience but I know it is important for them to learn to help and they like doing it but by God's power I try to be let them help!
Enjoy teaching your families, it is the best method! And the younger the better, no matter how hard it is! Yes, there will be some days it will be easier to just send them outside and we do that too but they get a much bigger reward when they get to help, and, in the end, so do we!
Blessings! Carrie Lynn

*Editors Note: As I was reading over this I realized it was not very respectful of my Mama and I do not want to disrespect her any, she is an awesome Mama and woman of God! As a way to help her out I do some kitchen stuff while she teaches school therefore she has not cooked with all 5 girls much and if I were in her shoes my paitence probably would have ran out long before hers showed wear!
